‘Container’, 12 min, 2020
In this video performance, Bärbel Praun creates the exact size of a standard 20-foot container used for global shipping by walking. 20 foot is one of the most used standard sizes of a container. During the pandemic in 2020 the value and costs of shipping containers first decreased, then increased massively. The act of walking - with the local harbour as a backdrop - helps to imagine and visualize the space.
