On the evening of my 13th birthday my father had his first heart attack. He compares the experience to electricity running from his left hand to the right and to a heavy burden sitting on his chest. He was mortally terrified and had huge pain in his arms and upper body. Since then his health history has been a story of the heart: in 2000, he had surgery even twice, in 2009 once more. In 2018 he had an open heart surgery to get artificial heart valves and a pacemaker. At the age of 68, he considers himself more humble and thankful towards life.
